These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Sunpath mobile application and associated services ("Service"), operated by Nick Babenko ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account, you agree to these Terms.
Sunpath is a solar energy management app for UK homeowners. It connects to your solar inverter, EV charger, and energy supplier accounts to display live energy data, historical analysis, AI-powered insights, and (where enabled) automated battery scheduling recommendations.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your Sunpath password. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

Sunpath requires credentials for third-party services (e.g. Sunsynk, Octopus Energy) to fetch your data. By providing these credentials, you confirm:
We do not use your third-party credentials for any purpose other than polling your devices.

When you enable optimisation or automated scheduling features:
We aim to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service is provided "as is" without any SLA or uptime guarantee.
We may temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control (e.g. third-party API outages).
All content, code, and design of the Sunpath Service is owned by Nick Babenko or licensed to us. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, we are not liable for:
Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you have paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim (or £50, whichever is greater).
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
You may delete your account at any time via Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently deletes all your data.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with or without notice.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via push notification or in-app notice at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
